About Me

My name is Wayne Jones, and I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I’m an academic librarian, currently working at Carleton University, but I’ve also worked at Queen’s University (Kingston, Ontario), MIT (Cambridge, Massachussetts), and the National Library of Canada (Ottawa). I also worked as a freelance editor for a couple of years in Toronto. If you’re interested, check out my full résumé here.

I’ve published articles and short stories, and self-published novels as well as a book about personal minimalism. More details here.

I’ve been a long-time reader, student, and general fan of Samuel Johnson – ever since I took my first undergraduate class in 18th-century literature at Memorial University in St. John’s, Newfoundland. I went on from there to do my master’s thesis on Johnson at the University of Toronto – specifically, on his series of essays called The Rambler, published twice weekly, 1750-1752.
